Wedding guests along a long table cheering towards a stage hung with a LOVE sign and mirrorballs

Wedding DJ in Cheshire

A wedding DJ across Cheshire, playing the room from the ceremony through to the last record. Disco, soul, funk and house, on vinyl or digital, chosen on the night rather than run from a fixed list. I bring the sound, the microphones and the lighting, and I have DJ’d weddings at Shrigley Hall and Heaton House Farm.

The night

From the ceremony to the last dance

One record collection, played across the whole day if you want it.

I can cover the ceremony, the drinks reception, the meal and the evening, or come in just for the dancing. Speeches and vows get their own microphones, so everyone hears them.

I play in generational mini-sets, so the floor fills early with what the older guests came for and moves through the night to the younger crowd. The first dance is yours to choose. After that I read the room and keep it moving.

The sound

Records chosen for the room

The core is disco, soul, funk and house, with indie and the odd deeper cut when the room wants it. Send me a list of favourites and a do-not-play list, and I build the night around them. What I will not do is run a set list start to finish and ignore the floor.

I play on vinyl or digital, whichever suits the day. It is the selection that matters, not the format. There is more on that on the vinyl or digital page.

In Cheshire

Weddings across the county

Cheshire venues I have played, and the county I cover from just over the hill.

Shrigley Hall

I have DJ’d a wedding at Shrigley Hall, the country house near Macclesfield. A big room that takes a full evening of dancing.

Heaton House Farm

I have played Heaton House Farm, the barn venue out on the moor edge, with the sound brought in and set up on site.

I cover the rest of Cheshire too, from Macclesfield and Congleton across to Knutsford and Chester, and I am happy to speak to your venue about access, power and curfew before the day. If your venue sits up in the hills, there is also a Peak District wedding venues page.

What I bring

Everything the sound needs

The booking includes the PA, microphones for the speeches and vows, and dance-floor lighting. I set up anywhere: a country house, a barn, a marquee or a village hall. If your venue is off-grid, I also run a sound system that works without mains power.

I am based in Buxton, a short drive from most of Cheshire, and I cover the Peak District, Derbyshire and Greater Manchester as well. Further afield by arrangement. When you are ready, here is how to book.

Questions

Common questions

Do you cover the ceremony as well as the evening?

Yes. I can play the ceremony, the drinks reception and the evening, or the whole day from start to finish. Microphones for the vows and the speeches are part of it.

Can we choose the music?

Yes. Send me a list of favourites and a do-not-play list, and I build the night around them, then read the floor as it goes rather than running a fixed set.

Which Cheshire venues have you played?

Shrigley Hall near Macclesfield and Heaton House Farm on the moor edge, among others. I am happy to talk to your venue about access and setup beforehand.

Do you bring the sound system and lighting?

Yes. PA, microphones for speeches and vows, and dance-floor lighting come with the booking. I set up in a hall, a barn, a marquee or a country house.

How far do you travel?

I am based in Buxton and cover Cheshire, the Peak District, Derbyshire and Greater Manchester. Further afield by arrangement.

How much does it cost?

Every wedding is different, so I put a price together once I know the date, the venue and the hours. Get in touch and I will come back to you.
