Mark Jermyn, Moderate Studio

Tell me what you need.

A website, a DJ set, sound for an event, or something that does not sit neatly in any of those. You do not need to arrive with a finished brief. Send me what you know so far and we can work the rest out between us.

Every message comes to me. I read them all myself and reply as soon as I can.

That has come through.

Thank you. It is with me now and I will read it myself. There is an acknowledgement on its way to your inbox, and my reply will follow it.

That did not send.

Something went wrong at my end rather than yours. Email jermyn@moderate.studio or call 07456 932 471 and I will pick it up from there.

Enquiries

Pick whichever comes closest.

Four short sets of questions. The only ones I really need are your name, your email and enough to know what we are talking about. Everything else helps me give you a useful answer first time, so fill in what you can and leave the rest.

Website

A new site, an overhaul, or ongoing help keeping one current
A new website, an overhaul of the one you have, or ongoing help keeping a website and the things around it current. You do not need to know how many pages, which system or what technology. I would rather start with the business and what is getting in the way of it.

So I can reply.

A couple of lines is plenty.

What would you like help with?

Choose as many as apply.

Interested in ongoing website and content support? optional

A broad range is fine. It helps me suggest something sensible.

Fields marked * are the ones I need.

What you send comes to me by email and nowhere else. No list, no tracking pixel, no automated follow-up. Privacy policy.

DJ booking

Venues, weddings, private parties and events
Sets for venues, weddings, private parties and events, on vinyl or digital depending on what the night wants. Tell me the date, the place and the kind of night, and I will come back with what I would bring.

So I can reply.

A wedding, a birthday, a bar night, whatever it is.

When you would want music starting and finishing.

In your own words. You do not need a track list.

Indoors or outdoors optional
What would you need me to bring? optional
Does the venue have its own sound system? optional

Fields marked * are the ones I need.

What you send comes to me by email and nowhere else. No list, no tracking pixel, no automated follow-up. Privacy policy.

Sound or speaker hire

Speakers and sound systems for events, ceremonies and gatherings
Speakers and sound systems delivered, set up and ready to use, for events, venues, ceremonies and gatherings. Including places with no mains electricity, which is what the Solar Sound System was built for. Most people have no idea what size system they need, and no reason to. Tell me about the event and I will work that part out.

So I can reply.

A ceremony, a party, a community event, whatever it is.

Indoors or outdoors optional
Is there mains electricity where the sound goes? optional

If there is not, say so. The solar system is built for that.

What do you need? optional

Choose as many as apply. If you are not sure, leave it and tell me about the event instead.

Fields marked * are the ones I need.

What you send comes to me by email and nowhere else. No list, no tracking pixel, no automated follow-up. Privacy policy.

Something else

Commissions, collaborations, artwork, installations, and the harder to categorise
Commissions, collaborations, artwork, installations, events, and the things that do not have an obvious name yet. This one is deliberately short. Tell me what you are turning over and we can work out together whether it is something I can help with.

So I can reply.

However roughly formed it is.

Fields marked * are the ones I need.

What you send comes to me by email and nowhere else. No list, no tracking pixel, no automated follow-up. Privacy policy.

After you send it

What happens next

I read every enquiry myself. I will come back with any questions, and if it would be quicker than typing, suggest a short call.

  • If it is a websiteWe talk about the business first: where it is now, what needs to change, and whether keeping it up to date afterwards is something you want off your hands.
  • If it is an eventI check I am free on the date, then ask for whatever is still missing so I can give you an accurate price rather than a guess.
  • If it is something elseWe work out between us whether it is a job for me. Sometimes it is not, and I will say so and point you somewhere better if I can.
  • If you are only half decidedThat is fine and it is where most enquiries start. Nothing you send here commits you to anything.

Where I work

Buxton, and out from there

The studio is in Buxton, in the Peak District. Most of the work is around Derbyshire, Manchester and Cheshire, and I travel further out when the job makes sense. Websites are not fussy about geography, so those can be anywhere.
