Questions
Common questions
What areas do you cover for speaker hire?
I am based in Buxton and cover the Peak District, Derbyshire, Cheshire and Greater Manchester, including Bakewell, Chapel-en-le-Frith, Macclesfield, Stockport and across the National Park. Delivery and collection are included in every quote, and I travel further afield on request.
How much does PA and speaker hire cost?
Speaker hire starts at £100. Every quote is fixed and includes delivery, set-up and collection; the final price depends on the size of your event and the equipment you need.
Can I hire a PA without booking a DJ?
Yes. This is equipment hire for clear, reliable sound, so you do not need to book a DJ or a live act. It suits speeches, ceremonies, talks and community events that simply need to be heard.
Do you deliver and set up the equipment?
Yes. Delivery, set-up and a quick run-through are part of every booking, and everything is collected afterwards, so you do not have to handle or transport anything.
Can you provide microphones for speeches and ceremonies?
Yes. Wired and wireless microphones, including lapel and lectern mics, so vows, readings and speeches carry clearly to the whole room or field.
Do you provide a sound engineer?
That is optional. Hire the equipment on its own with a run-through, or add a sound engineer to set up and run the sound throughout your event.
Is the equipment suitable for outdoor events with no mains power?
Yes. I run battery-powered options for fields, gardens and venues without mains, and also offer a fully solar-powered sound system for off-grid and eco-minded events.
