A night at the Golden Lion in Todmorden, July 2025. Jazz to Jungle, Moderate Sounds with Kev Original and guests. Starting slow and ending up somewhere a good deal faster.
Kev has been programming acts at the Golden Lion for a good while. He is one of my closest mates, and he wanted to do a night DJing together, so we took over the pub for the evening.
The title was the brief. Start with jazz and work through everything in between until you arrive at jungle. Every genre on the way, one step faster at a time, then finish with Kev and me going back to back on jungle. All played digitally.
There were guests on through the evening too, alongside the two of us.
It went well. People had a good dance, and it carried on until 1am.
