LIVE SOUNDS
LIVE SOUND SHAPED BY PLACE, PEOPLE AND RESPONSE
LIVE SOUNDS
Live sound is a central part of my wider practice. I work with recorded music, systems and listening environments to create responsive sound experiences in social, public and shared spaces. This includes DJ-led performances, long-form listening sessions and sound-led events shaped by place, people and context.
Rather than fixed set lists, my approach is built around selection, pacing and response. Each session develops through the room, the system and the people present, moving between warm-up, flow and peak in ways that feel considered rather than imposed.
My live sound work takes place across a range of settings, including hospitality venues, community spaces, cultural events and private gatherings. It draws on a deep archive of music spanning disco, soul, funk, house, leftfield electronics and roots-influenced sounds, blended with a sensitivity to atmosphere and shared experience.
Alongside performance, I’m interested in listening as a collective act. How sound can hold a space, support connection and shift how people inhabit a room. This way of working feeds directly into my wider sound practice, including installation, place-responsive projects and longer-term research.
