The Palace Hotel / Refuge

In 2016 I completed one of my most ambitious projects to date — a major commission for the iconic Palace Hotel, now the Kimpton Clocktower. What began as a large-scale mural evolved into a striking acrylic mirror installation for their reception area, blending architecture, reflection, and colour in one of Manchester’s grandest interiors.

The project didn’t end there. Inspired by the city’s raw energy and the changing streetscape, I launched a guerrilla-style marketing campaign across Manchester. I designed and hand screen-printed my own wallpaper — bold, vibrant, and deliberately out of place — then installed it across boarded-up windows around the city. It was a DIY burst of colour and joy against the grey backdrop of construction and regeneration — art for anyone who happened to pass by.
